Kent Baake, owner and operator of Metro Gutter and Home Services, Inc., started Continuum Energy Solutions (CES) in 2007 based on a belief that we all need to act as global citizens and take steps to improve national security, create green jobs for local employees, and reduce our fossil fuel burning - a practice which is clearly causing pollution, health issues, and climate change. The security costs have been high with the money we spend on fuel funding those with interests against our country. The environmental costs of emissions since the industrial revolution have more recently been highlighted as the certainty of global warming has increased. At last, the era of the green consumer has arrived and the time to act is now. Unprecedented government support and state incentives are here, and we continually strive to to maximize their full potential for every client.
The goal of CES is to benefit the world through the installation of commercial and residential solar energy systems that reduce carbon emissions using free energy from the sun. We focus both on the environmental benefits and impacts of our actions as well as earnings and growth. Educating the public on the benefits of installing a solar system is an integral part of our operations. We enjoy working with both commercial and residential building owners to educate them on the financial benefits of adding a solar energy system. Even before doing so, our team of BPI certified clean energy consultants provide the necessary first steps to carbon reduction by completing energy audits and the associated remediation/weatherization work.
CES is not a startup. We began as Metro Gutter and Home Services, a 20 year business with clean energy consultants already experienced in reliable and safe roofing techniques. As a result of those years in service, we enjoy an excellent reputation with the Better Business Bureau, Angie’s List, and have a robust number of satisfied clients. With experience providing daily service to commercial and residential customers, our ability to offer excellent customer service to both our roofing and renewable energy customers is well established.
Another unique attribute of CES is our ability to combine the latest in technology to provide a more reliable, stable, and cost effective maintenance solution for a solar photovoltaic array. We do this by incorporating the new Enphase Micro Inverters in our sysems. Enhpase inverters have web monitoring capabilities that provide real-time views of energy production and carbon reductions of your system right to a personal site for you to watch any time. This eliminates the need to match arrays with a sized inverter. This allows our clients the ability to add a few or many more panels at a future date, without another expensive inverter. The micro inverters also pinpoint any problems in the system, eleminating the need for an expensive electrical engineers to troubleshoot each panel from your roof top.
